Q7 - skills learned
Looking back at your preliminary task what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product.
Looking back on the process of making my college magazine i noticed the lack of planning and editing that i had put into making it a conventional magazine. I took very few shots for my college magazine and only used two locations which where on the college grounds because it was 'easier' I took around 10 images for my dominant image on my music magazine. I also did more research into similar products so it was more attractive to my target audience. there was no real colour scheme in my college magazine. Where as my music magazine is clearly red, black and white. I thought about the font of my masthead on my music magazine where as in my college magazine I just simply grabbed one from Photoshop because it 'looked good'. The organisation of my second magazine was also much better and because of this it looked more professional. I did not include a bar code or a price on the front of my music magazine because they would be on the back page. The issue number is not included on either but on my music magazine it is included on my contents page.I also feel that my Photoshop skills have improves significantly since I started my magazine's. have learnt how to edit and crop images to make my magazine more professional. I have not only learned this in my media lessons but also in my photography lessons. I have also used many tools to help my edit my photos if they needed a little tweaking.
